Block Party

We had our annual block party this weekend. It was a blast, good neighbors, good food and the OSU football game on a big screen TV in the street.




 

No School!

Friday I had a day off from school. The Chickadee, Mom and I went apple picking. We picked a bushel of apples, and Chickadee took one bite out of as many apples as she could.

Pumpkin Patch

I had my first school field trip. We went to the pumpkin patch. It was pretty fun. First we met at school and I showed Mom some work.   This is an ovoid, if you were wondering.

Then off we went.We learned about different types of pumpkins and gourds and how a seed becomes a plant, and how the flowers are pollinated and how pumpkins grow.
Then we got to drink some apple cider.  Mmmmm. Notice that mine is gone, while the kids around me have barely had a sip.  I'm not sure what they are waiting for.
After cider it was off to the field to pick out three gourds.

Then we headed to the corn field and picked out two ears of Indian corn.


After finding our corn we hopped on a wagon and took a ride out to the pumpkin patch.

I thought this was the best pumpkin around.  I picked one out for the Chickadee too.

A wagon ride back to our cars and our trip was over.  

That night Mom and I carved my pumpkin.  I wanted it to have an angry face.  I think Mom did a pretty good job.

Kids on the porch

Chickadee likes to think of herself as one of the big kids. If Pickle and M are there, she is right there with them. Here they all are eating dessert after our annual clam bake.

The Chickadee and the baby

Chickadee has a doll, this doll occupies much of her day.  First momma puts the diaper on the "bebe" , then Chickadee takes the doll, hugs it kisses it and walks away.  She then unceremoniously dumps it out of the diaper, and brings it back to Momma for the process to start over again.

2.) dump the baby out of the diaper.

Last camping trip of the year.

We went on our last camping trip of the season.  Alum Creek had its Halloween party so M and I got a jump on trick or treating.  Grandpa made me this cool flat bed truck costume, just what I wanted to be.  Mom can't wait until I decide to be something a little easier, like a pirate, or a monkey.



People went all out on the decorations at their camp sites.





And there were some great costumes walking around.

When we weren't trick or treating M and I did some painting an a lot of bike riding.

I helped Grandpa crack walnuts.

The chickadee was ready to do some geocaching.

Thanks for a great time Grandpa and Grandma, we can't wait to go in the spring!
