Conversation before bed
Pickle: We are doing body work at school.
Momma: Oh really? What sort?
P: There is a little skeleton on the shelf, it's new. DO NOT TOUCH IT, DO NOT take it to a table. It is just for looking. With your eyes.
M: Oh Ok.
P: It's knees and feet and hands move.
M: How do you know that? If you aren't supposed to touch it?
P: Ahhhh... I just do. Did you know if you had no bones you would just be a big slug. A BIG SLUG Momma.
M: That's right, a big slug.
P: Inside your skeleton are your organs.
M: I know!
P: and your intes... integ... intestegans; they are gooey.
M: What?
P: Your intestegans, they are gooey, you can't touch them, they are inside.
M: Right, your intestines, you think they look gooey?
P: You can't touch them, why can't you touch them?
M: They are inside you.
P: But I want to touch them, How can I touch them?
M: You know... lets have some quiet time.
